understands the unique needs and the distinct challenges
and opportunities of growing companies. We recognize that
as a business grows and matures, it requires new strategies,
information, infrastructure, and leading-edge management
tools tailored to each stage of growth. Project Management
Model:
We
realize that most projects, even if they seem to be complex,
are based upon technologies that are quite mature and readily
available. Therefore, success of the project is very rarely
a matter of having the necessary technical expertise; rather,
it is a matter of having the necessary project management
skills. For every project we set up a team as below.
An
Account Manager.
This is the person who handles the business aspect of the
project. He or she remains in the loop from the very beginning
until the end of the warranty period. The Account Manager
monitors the progress and steps in if and when there is
a need to coordinate schedules or budget issues.
A
Project Manager. This is ththe customer. He makes the schedule including
weekly milestones where the ce person who writes (or rewrites)
the project specifications and finalizes with ustomer can
review progress and suggest minor corrections. The first
milestone is finalization of the specs or demonstration
of a "prototype". Subsequent milestones demonstrate
features as they get implemented. When the system goes on-line,
the project team remains on standby to fix any bugs that
may appear during testing.
Team. Why a project team? Having a team working on a project
has its advantages. The most important one is that it provides
a guarantee of continuity. If team members exist due to
some reason, the project does not suffer. |
